We colleceted 250+ poetry artworks from primary school children from the Carrifkergus area. All of the submitted poems were exhibited at the Carrickfergus Museum from 9 December 2023 to 13 January 2024.

POETRY WORKSHOPS

Poetry workshops were delivered to primary schools and education centres during the open call period. Students were introduced to different poetry forms such as acrostic poem, haiku, free verses, blackout poems, and line-breaker poems.

Set children poetry to music!

Are you a composer looking for an opportunity to showcase your talent? We are currently seeking volunteers to set the 250+ children's poems we collected into music for a recital in June 2024. This is a great chance to create something unique and meaningful while giving back to the community. Join us in this exciting project and let's make beautiful music together!
